He was a little tinker tonight. He kept flying up to the curtain rail as if to say ‘Ha ha you can’t reach me up here!’

Just looking again at the last image enlarged. Do you think that white line under Archie’s cere could be early stages of scaly face? Hezz , Marianne Marlow , samwiseg , ffiscool , skysmum, Shirls. I have given them both a preventative dose last weekend but now wondering if I should follow up before I put them together. Quarantine is meant to be up this weekend?

So do I put them together at the weekend as planned having dosed them both or should I wait another 4 weeks till I can retreat Archie with a second dose? I’m annoyed because that means it was in the pet centre already if it is scaly face.

It does look like early stages of scaly to me too helenmatSorry but why do you have to wait 4 weeks for the next dose? I thought you have 1 drop once a week for three weeks so you only have 2 more doses to go? Or am I missing something? Mind you it is late at night and I've had a really long day so I might be just tired so apologies in advance if I'm being stupid! I suppose I would still keep them apart... Having said that Nubbs had scaly once he had already been put in with the others when we got them so I treated them all and it was all good. See what the other members think

I used this samwiseg I did struggle with my arthritis in my fingers trying to squeeze the small tube and worry I didn’t get enough on. Beaphar Anti-Parasite Spot On – Small (Canary/Budgie) Beaphar Anti-Parasite Spot on for small birds is a veterinary medicine containing Ivermectin (10ug per pipette), which is effective against roundworms, feather lice, red (blood) mites, feather mites, air sac mites and mange mites (scaly face) Twist off the cap and apply entire contents of pipette to the base of the feathers, on the bird’s neck. Birds' feathers are adapted to shed rain and this same principle will cause the bird spot-on to run-off if applied superficially. It is important that the solution be applied onto the skin or soft down feathers, otherwise it will not work. While squeezing out the contents, spread the solution over as great a surface of the skin as possible. A small bird will be quite damp after application, so keep your bird warm until dry. A second treatment should not be required, but if it is, leave 4 weeks before re-applying.

I can't help with that brand helenmat. It was always Invermectin 0.1% that I used. 1 drop on the back of the neck once a week for 3 weeks.

Oh nooo. Ive always used this as a preventative but of course I have never had to actually treat it. I suppose I better stick to the same brand now. Argh!

Here you go helenmat, just watch the sellers on Ebay, as some might not be UK, and therefore shipping dates are longer, you will also get it on Amazon. Can't remember where Marianne Marlow buys hers.

It is only my opinion helenmat, but if you have treated them both, and will continue to treat them both with the same medication, I would put them together. But that is only my opinion.
