I have a very happy budgie that is approximately 3 years old and male. I got him three days ago and the first time i let him out he flew into a fly trap. I was able to get him out but there is a part of his wing that is stuck to the main part of the wing he can fly and seems ok but I don't know if i should be concerned or not.

Welcome.
I'm sorry that this happened to your budgie.
Can you get a photo of the wing?

The best thing for getting the glue off his feathers, if there is any, is personal lubricant such as KY jelly. Then you can give him a (very) gentle wash off with mild washing up detergent, with a thorough rinse off. Get the glue off asap otherwise he will try to clean it off himself.

Yes be careful he doesn't try and clean and injest whatever the glue is for the fly trap. Could be really toxic!
