Just clearing my throat Hezz. Erm, Erm. I know what you mean though, but us humans do have to adapt when things do strike. I'm glad there is some improvement skysmum. I supppose it's like all stroke victims that do regain some function. Long may it contimue. Sorry, OP; that was a generalization, and not aimed at any particular one. And ... some people do get on with it rather than get stuck on the "why me?" record.

I am thrilled to report that my little PC Bertie is back with his flock . He has been doing so well in his little cage and i knew he felt better because he wanted OUT. I opened his door a couple of days ago and sat back to watch, it didn't take him long to find the open door and he was away back to the Hamberly, he still stretches forward and taps something if he is not sure but i would say he has at least half his sight back and is singing his head off love him. Fingers crossed we don't have any more episodes like this again and he continues to improve. Here he is this morning

I’m so happy to read your update skysmum. I’ve been thinking of little Bertie and wondering how he’s doing as I’m sure many others on here have as well. Fingers crossed that he continues to improve and that he’ll be back to his PC Plod duties soon and keeping a close watch on any Budshire shenanigans. Way to go little Bertie 🥰💙🥰

I'm so pleased that I took a nosey in. Great news for the both of you. Kiwi taps things to test what they are. I did manage to get him on my finger once (just once) and he tapped my finger to explore it. Here's hoping that PC bertie keeps improving. Like Hezz said these fellas are quick to adapt. I hope your mum is getting on OK, skysmum.
