Can’t find it, but I know there was a thread and Orchids were mentioned. I was given one last May. Recently I noticed all the stems looked dead. Then suddenly a few days ago... eh voila

Yes, I have 10 orchids now, had one for Christmas, a Spider Orchid!! Anyway, you need to cut the stem off once it has flowered, just above the top 'nodule' on the stem, then it will send out another flower spike. If it seems to do nothing, then put it somewhere quite cold for a couple of weeks, then bring in back into the warm and that will start it off again. So sorry suesbird, you did make me laugh, but you must have given your orchids too much of a shock!!! Perhaps you just left them in the cold??? Nice one ffiscool, even though you did nothing, it worked for you. Please show us the flowers when they appear.
