Hi there everyone! These two pals, I own for a couple of month, have got me very confused with their behaviors and everything! Oh yes, they are lovely and cute, and god dammed noisy! They love each other and can't stand even a minute apart, but, they also fight a lot, about anything, food, perch, my attention,... So, I'm kinda wondering if the breeder have gave me the right genders. And, yeah I can't tell their sex from cere coloring on my own. So, please help! I really appreciate ! Thanks a lot! Again!

I'm adding more photos, taken without any artificial light, so somebody may help me with their gender...

Yellowest one looks female, the greener one looks male. What ages are they? The (probable) male, you can start seeing his iris, so maybe 6-7 months? And what about the (probable) female?
They are very cute! I hope i've got it right, but keep checking back for more opinions.

It is possible they could both be female (which explains the fighting) but I doubt it for now.

To me they both look like boys. I see no white rings around the nares (nostrils) and the ceres look purple.

Hmm... I can see a small bit of a white ring around the nostrils (mostly on the dominant green,) but the cere definitely looks purple on them. On the recessive green, the cere looks pink to me (although it might be my laptop.)
I didn't know about the white rings around the nostril pointing to male! That's handy.

The white rings indicate Hen.

Following that, it looks like the dominant green is more likely to be a female. But that wouldn't match with the fact the cere looks purple? I know that some female's ceres are purple-ish, and this one looks young (no visible iris) so it still could be developing.
Imo, dominant green is male, recessive green in female. I'm just a novice though, so don't count on it.

Thank you everyone! I'm very grateful of your kind answers! I really am!
But again, my confusion just got reassured! But tanks anyway! And, about their age, I'm almost standing where I'm on their gender... But, I can tell for sure, I have them for near two months; And, when I was buying them, the breeder/seller said they are less than four months; Those iris rings of the green one, weren't there when I bought them; And they had clearly visible bars over their forehead. Moreover, from their behavior, I can tell they do almost everything the same. No behavioral differences, except, the yellow one bites harder and doesn't like to stand on my hand at all!

What did the breeder advertise selling to you? Two males/females? Breeding pair? Or just two budgies?

re: Marianne Marlow
So, if they are going to be hens, they must either have a brown cere or a white ring around their nostrils (/totally white cere)? Right? And, males, do not necessarily have blue/bluish cere?
So, if I'm not misunderstanding, these pals are actually two little guys? Yes? I did have name them Jessie (the yellow) and Walter (the green). Reminds me of the two complete idiot smart-lips from Breaking Bad show.
Hey, thanks anyway! And sorry for my language; I leave in Iran... I'm still learning.

Re: DuskyConure
Well I had ask him to give me a pair, a couple. And, in the cage they were living with maybe 6 or 7 more budgies (I can recall there was a twice larger one), these two were kissing and cuddling all time -I'd spent an hour in the pet shop to choose them. But, it may had happen for me/seller to get wrong one by mistake. The cage was small, there were too many birds, Idk. Back then, these fellas were quit and move-less, scared I can tell, and both have pink ceres. After couple days, both were head bobbing, screaming at each other, regurgitating for each other, begging/stealing food from each other, etc.

I think you might of gotten two males. Usually, pet stores aren't the most knowledgeable places about budgies, and yes, they could've gotten mixed up. Well I guess you'll find out the gender eventually if they start sitting on each other lol. I'm leaning towards both being male but it's possible the recessive green pied could be female.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, that when they tend to fight, sometimes Jessie (yellow) step on Walt's (green) chest, and push his nails into his body, making him screaming in pain.
Whatever man... I guess I'd just wait a couple of more months to see whether they mate or not. However, I don't even care if they are both male/female or homosexuals! As long as they stop these everyday fights and competitions they do... I couldn't find any AviCalm in my locals, and, to make them stop fighting was the main concern of mine with their genders.
Goodluck everyone! I will be sending more thread/photos of them in other topics of the site. Thnks devs and admins!
