Oh, that's not so good, and AviCalm might not work..... you might have to end up seperating them if it gets worse

Well, I've never separated them more than a minute. Cause they will call each other loudly and find a way to reunite. As I said, they are very attached to each other and won't leave one another's side. But, they will always fight over food, toys, perch, sleep spot, nest,...... I've got two of any accessories in the cage, but they'll still get jealous of one other's.

That's funny and sad. Well, if they start to draw blood regularly, you're probably going to have to separate them. Maybe you could have one of those cages which have a portcullis down the middle that you can open and close to let them play with each other, then if they fight give them a "time out" from playing with each other? But only like real fighting, not nipping toes or pecking each other's beaks. But if they start rolling around on the floor on top of each other, pulling the other's feathers, drawing blood, chasing, then separate them for a while.

To me they both look like boys. I see no white rings around the nares (nostrils) and the ceres look purple. Two boys from me, as well. mindcracker , you have two different mutations which will give you a slightly different colour for the males' ceres. One looks to be a normal green (not dominant) and the other a pied (maybe dominant, maybe recessive) but without photos of their backs, impossible for most people to be able to tell. All budgies will squabble to a certain extent and what you have done with having two of everything in their cage is the best way to address this. They will also squabble if their cage isn't big enough for them both to have space off on their own if they want - make sure their cage is plenty big enough for two. Most pet stores will sell you something that is far too small - budgies might be small but they are, and need to be, very active.

re: Hezz Two different mutations? Hmmm, tha's what I've thought. And now, thanks to everyone, I'm pretty much sure they are both males. And about their cage, I think your right, it maybe small -Specially, after adding extra accessories in there. Suddenly, these fellas seem to fight only when they're in cage. Here are two more photos, showing their cage, and their backs.

And just to make sure, I add this photo, the last. Will anyone confirm their gender, I am very grateful!

I'm going to say definitely two boys. From these photos, the bird slightly in front is a normal green opaline, and the boy at the back a recessive pied. Take out the nest boxes - budgies do not need anything to roost in. They will happily sleep on a perch or more often on a swing. More importantly, get them some normal tree branches for perches. Those horrible plastic perches are not good for their feet - they need different textures and diameters to keep their feet supple and exercised. Google safe plants for birds and check a few different sites as not all will agree. Find out what trees in your local area are safe to use for birds and pilfer whatever you can. Your birds will thank you for it.

Thank you Hezz!
I will, for sure, replace those plastic perches with tree branches -Thank you for your advice on that. But, about the boxes, these pals really like to go in and spend some time there, not for resting but for playing and singing. In fact, I've put some chopped wood in there, which they love to chew on. So, maybe I do remove the boxes too.

Definitely remove the boxes. These could possibly be part of your fighting problem. Give them plenty of toys to chew on - things like bits of bark and your bits of chopped wood, just be sure that the wood is soft enough for them to chew up easily. Balsa is great, soft pine Even toys made out of cardboard and paper are good as well for them to keep those little beaks busy. Once you get some natural perches/branches, run them in different directions in the cage - set them at angles, after all what tree ever grew exactly horizontally and vertically?? In fact I make sure that no perch in my birds' cages ever runs straight across. Their feet have to work even if they are just sitting on a branch.
