I tried to, after reading about budgie diet on this enormous forum, give my pals some veg and fruits. It didn't go as I expected though... A fancy, restaurant class, dish of salad! Removed all the fatty bad foods! Budgies not interested in vegetarians diet! Finally found a way to pick their interest!

As you have found, it's just a question of offering it the right way!
Some will eat off plates, pegged to cage, or some other ways!

So not a fail at all. All they need now are some toys - swings, bells, anything that can be shaken and will tinkle, and maybe a small mirror. Anything shiny, usually, but swings and bells have always been favourites in this house.

Yeah, maybe! But this method, of hanging veg and fruits, does make much wastes; cause I'm not a vegi man. However, it is fun. That's for sure! Well. I've already built a kind of swing using a smile piece of branch. But, it seems to be hard to sit steady on. I'll try to improve its balance and all. And, I am looking forward to find some safe bells and mirror. I used to make some toy houses out of cardboard, which they loved to chew and fight over...
