Agree with tweetiepiesmom, moving at the drop of a hat would stress anyone. Will they fix your flat Marianne to allow you to move back in at a later date? Hope you get your new place sorted to suit you and the birdies. Yes, the plan is that we move back in about a month. But that is subject to change. This place is a two bed flat but has so many drawbacks, including the stairs that we have to climb to get to the living room. Have to leave Eve's pram in the cupboard at the bottom. Stairs for me are a nightmare.

Oh Gosh! Not at all the day that you expected. You all must have been so tired last night. I hope you don't have to be way from your flat for too long.

That sounds like a nightmare, for sure. Hope you, the family, and the budgies settle in soon. How horrible having to reconfigure all that you had done to help give the birds the best space possible. Fingers crossed that Bertie stays well over the next few days, better still that he completely recovers without the vet visit.

What an upheaval! I can only imagine the stress you’ve been under. I hope they get your flat sorted sooner rather than later.

WOw, you really don't need all this stress. I know you said the damp floors have been a problem for some time but has the recent weather made things worse?
I'm open plan here Marianne. Luckily BertieB doesn't bother with the kitchen part and he's only ever out when I'm around. I do worry about cooking fumes but I always use the extractor fan and have checked my pots and pans to make sure they are not tefal (they're not).
I even risk having a window open a little bit, but close the venetian blinds to just a crack.

We thought it was damp, but actually they found out that several under floor pipes were leaking. I've let these guys out just now. My heart is in my mouth every time they fly.

Poor Bertie and poor you having to up and move out at such short notice. Things always seem to come at once. Fingers crossed for his vet visit tomorrow

The little buds were happy to get out, I'll bet. Hopefully Eve is just taking this as a big adventure and adjusting well to the change. Best wishes for Bertie's health. Not to mention you and your hubby - hope you weather all this well.

I'm glad they were able to come out today. What did they think of their new surroundings? I'm sure they'll get used to it very quickly. I hope you are settling in quickly too xx
