I have seen stress make my budgies droppings look like those too. It's good that the night time ones look fine. I'm not an expert, but I think it probably just still stress/excitement.
Do you see pieces of paper on the cage floor when he had been eating his toy? I don't think paper is likely to do him any harm if he does swallow it but again I'm not an expert.
Is he still fine in himself? Eating, drinking and behaving normally?

Sorry, I have nothing more to offer than has already been said. It could be something as simple as him having more to drink first thing in the morning, so the poop is going through faster and wetter. They are a little green, though, and that could be a worry.

I have seen him drinking water in the morning. And yes, I have seen the shreds of paper on the bottom of the cage. I sent an email to the Avian Vet and copies of the pictures. I'll let you know what she's say - just as an FYI.

Has tweetiepie been eating more cuttle or iodine block than normal, that would make him drink more.

Yes Shirls he has just discovered his cuttlebone and has been nibbling at it. I heard from his vet. She thinks he's getting chilly at night. We've been having cooler nights recently. I sent her a couple of pictures where his cage is located. She said to move him away from the windows at night and if necessary put a reptile heat lamp 6-12 inches from his cage at night. She said it doesn't look to her like he has an illness because his droppings wouldn't be going from watery to normal in a day.

I'm glad you heard back from the vets and that she thinks Tweetie Pie is OK. It still keep worrying about my boys, even though they are all doing really well. I just can't help it. That's a lovely bright room.

In the winter, or when the nights are cold I put a cotton sheet over the cages as well as a fleece, my house it quite cold of a night time, especially in the winter. It's cold of a night time at the moment believe it or not.

I saw Tweetie Pie nibbling at his cuttlebone several times yesterday. This morning his first droppings were runny. Now that I know what's going on I won't worry. He's his normal self. Today he discovered his swing. Is been in his cage and he's never sat on it. A few times he's kissed the little bells hanging form it. Today...

Every budgie needs a swing to love or hate. TP has finally decided his is worthy of attention.
