Thankyou i feel so lucky to have this experience, i bought an Aviary as my son is severely disabled and gets such pleasure from watching birds 🐦💞 We only had 8 budgies as i wanted them to have lots of space in the Aviary and now we have these two little beauties we are all in love with them 😍

I'm sure your son is enjoying watching these little guys grow, as well. What a lovely thing for him to have - an aviary full of beauty.

3wks old tomorrow and keep popping there heads up to look out of the nest, will they come out on there own or should i remove the box ? Also had a lovely suprise when i checked the Aviary nest box this morning, another one of my budgies has laid 7 eggs and 1 has hatched over night ! I have now seperated them aswell and fingers crossed we will have a some more baby's to look forward to 😍

Let them come out of the box on their own, around the four-five week mark. Usually once they have come out they don't want to go back in again. You can try putting them back in the first couple of times in case they do still need that security, but once they are coming out cut a hole in the side of a tissue box or similar and leave this on the floor of the cage out of the way. they will use this to sleep in until they are comfortable perching during the night. Like the nest box, once they are perching during the day, they will be happy to sleep on a perch rather than go back into using the tissue box. Leave it a day or two longer than you see them using it, just to be sure they aren't still wanting that security.
