Okay. I have moved the perch beside the door to just in front of the door. Today I am going to tape the door open and put some millet on the perch for a few hours. Last time I tried this, they had no interest in the millet at all unless I wiggled it, and they acted as if they couldn't get to it, then just gave up. Or maybe I should hang some millet at the side of the cage and every once in a while move it down... I might do that. Well, i'm trying my best to get them out of the cage. Leaving the door open and trying to get them to step up. I feel so terribly cruel, and I likely am, but I am trying. When I first bought the cage, I expected them to be trying to get out every opportunity. So I thought i'd have no problem getting them out. But they didn't There's no way (according to my parents) that we could move them into the bigger cage, and to be honest, i can't see one either, unless we go with the original plan to have it at the end of my bed. Well, good luck to me, I guess. I hope it's not another failed attempt.

Good luck blumuffin! Isn't it funny - all new budgie owners are so afraid that the little guys will whip out the cage door as soon as it is opened! Just the opposite happens.
