Ok guys, I’ve had Niko a little over a month now and he’s now becoming aggressive. He’s not hand tame because he doesn’t want me touching him too much yet. I sit by his cage and talk to him. What should I do? He might be getting territorial. How do I handle this at this point? HELP!!!

Firstly are you sure he is not a she? Have you tried opening the cage and resting your hand inside without moving it? Then once the bird is ignoring your hand, you move it closer, just a fraction. keep this up until you are touching it's feet. this could take some time but you will get there.

Since he has not bonded with you yet, there is no point in pulling away and telling him off because he is wanting you to do exactly that, and you will never get anywhere. Your hands need to go bearing gifts - have a bobble of millet spray to offer him. In the video you are offering him no reason to want to get closer to your hands or to allow your hands to get closer to him. Enticement, bribery, graft ... call it what you will, the bird police say it is perfectly acceptable. Oh, and anything different, even as simple as a bandaid, will be viewed with suspicion.
