I wonder if they all have their own little role to play: Rupert alerts me when something isn't satisfactory, Ron is the chief eater, Quentin is the ladies man etc

It is keeping her entertained, along with my uncle, or at least I hope so! I am forgetting who I have sent her and who I haven't They are working from home, but I think it's getting to everyone now. I have had my mum on the phone this morning in tears, she feels like she is going mad with cabin fever.

clt80 I'm sorry to hear about your mum. It's so scary and overwhelming especially when you can't give someone a hug to make them feel better. Talking to you will have helped her though, it's nice that you are there for her.

Ah yes they definitely try to communicate. When Pete's water trough was covered, he came and landed on my head until I noticed what was up! I remember one time that I forgot to put fresh food and water in Munchy’s cage. I’d taken his bowls out for washing but taken him into the living room before I’d put them back. I couldn’t understand why he wouldn’t leave me alone, kept preening at my lips and then was licking at the outside of my glass. Then I glanced at the cage and felt terrible! He must have been so hungry, poor thing!

@sillycat84, your story reminds me of something. A few days ago I forgot to put out their seed bowls on the top of the cages. I usually put them on top of the newspaper. Daisy got so impatient that she tugged at the newspaper and leaned over the edge of the cage, dropping it on the floor. That was when she tipped me off that the seed was not there.
Trust the hens to let me know in a naughty way!

I've been ringing and texting aunties, uncles, the brother.... Asked them all to ring her so she has some conversation. Covid 19 is bad enough, but for some it's really impacting on their mental health.
I hope everyone on here is keeping and feeling OK.

Stanley. Stanley & Arthur. I was telling my auntie about Arthur so sent the second picture as well. Arthur passed last year, but he and Stanley were brothers and best of friends. Stanley is her favourite so far.

Stanley and Arthur are gorgeous, of course. If I can add my own recent "bird talk" incident, on Tuesday Loki and the Boyz had been in the aviary while I was at work. When I brought them back inside I forgot to put Loki's seed back in his cage. It was still in the little cage (with the door closed), so he sat on the door of his cage and YELLED for a good five minutes, just like he does when there are cockatoos around (because they are big scary white ghosts who might spirit him away, never to be seen again). Eventually he hopped onto the little cage, still screaming until the silly hooman got the message - give me my seed!

I'd love to know their thoughts and what they usually think about daily, and more importantly what they think of us!

It certainly would be very interesting to know what they think of us. Something along the lines of 'not sure why they think they are top of the evolution tree ... too dumb by far!'

Tweetie Pie and Buddy would say "Why can't I tame her? She won't come to me when I want her to, she won't feed me what I want and she won't repeat my chirp".

I'd love to have a conversation with them, I really would.
Well last night I took a picture of Frank, and realised his cere is turning brown!!!! There is still a bit of blue at the top. So, that wasn't great. I'll upload his picture. He's a beaut.
