I'm dealing with ants coming inside my house lately. I found that they got to my Budgies' cage and trying to take the leftover seeds away. (Not sure what they find appetizing about empty shell husks but they try to carry it away)
My Budgies have been making quite a ruckus over the ants, scurrying around the floor of the cage. I'm not sure if they ate any of them but they have been trying to feed each other which suggests that they might have eaten them. still need to clean the area more often so I wouldn't get too many ants... What do you guys think?

Even seed eaters will eat a certain amount of insects, usually things like mealworms, but ants I'm not so sure about. I doubt that the feeding each other has anything do to with the ant population; I think that is incidental.

On top of that they even groomed themselves more than usual. Not sure if the ants are stressing them out or it's another incidental thing.
