Thank you everyone. It was a really nice day and not everso different really. I tried not to listen to the news too much. The roast dinner was delicious and nicer than if we'd gone out for dinner. The cupcakes were lovely too. Here's a picture of my presents, cards and cakes. The basil plant wasn't a present but just on the table anyway. I bought the green rabbit as a present to myself when I ventured out to Tesco the night before my birthday. I've not opened up the lego yet. That might be my treat for the weekend.

criswell your bunny cupcakes are so cute! Hope you enjoy a lovely extended birthday weekend getting creative with the Lego sets. I have spent many hours searching through big boxes of Lego for a specific piece required for one of my son's builds and I am also chief Lego Sticker Applier in the household - just in case you need a hand

Belated good birthday wishes criswell. I only found out the other day that they made Adult lego. Very interesting! Yummy cakes, are there any left?

The last cake got eaten this evening Shirls I made hot cross buns for the first time yesterday and there are still plenty of those. willowsmum I didn't have any Lego when I was a kid and neither did my brother so I've had some catching up to do. I bought a little set for my OH for Christmas 2019 and we had so much fun with that we got some more, and then some more... I still haven't opened the new Lego yet.

I didn't have Lego growing up, either, criswell. Here, only the "rich kids" got Lego. My boys have tons of it ... maybe me making up for my own lack of ... we used to have heaps of fun working/playing together. My younger son was a mad-keen Bob the Builder fan and has the Duplo sets of those. Meccano is another thing we didn't have ... *sigh* ...
