Skysmum I love to tea light holder and wine bottle holder. How did you do it? Ffiscool it is mine and Helensmat birthday on thursday, we can send our addresses to you👌😃 . The wine bottle cover is worked on heavy duty vilene, choose your shape and cut it out. Use a fabric dye of your chosen colour theme and paint it. When its completely dry stitch into it using a mixture of decorative machine stitches then enhance it with some hand stitching and any other bits like sequins etc, stitch it together. My friend did a sunflower shape as a ceramic plant pot cover and another did a water lily centre piece for her table, just to give you an idea. The tea light holder was worked with disolvable fabric and netting. lay out you disolvable piece and lay down any bits of pretty threads, materials or whatever you have, some use coulourful sweet wrappers chopped up. Place a piece of netting over the top and secure with large tacking stitches then as with the wine cover, use your machine pattern stitches to decorate, secure and trap your bits, finish with hand stitching. When your happy with it gently place in warm water to disolve the disolvable fabric, while it's still wet mould it over your chosen shape, bowl, jar whatever shape you want and let it dry thoroughly and you have your vessel

Not an artistic bone in my body. They are beautiful skysmum , I've never seen anything like the bottle and tealight covers before. Such gorgeous colours.

Am loving all of these! Always marvel at patchwork skysmum, don't know if I'd have the patience to do it! Plus my sewing machine is not advanced enough either lol! Oh how I wish I had an overlocker

Here is a drawing I did some time ago, as well as a cross stitch that I also finished a while back. The owl is hanging around in a cupboard!!! I do these things and unfortunately they don't ever get frames or made into something. I never really know what to do with them!!!

Shirls they're great. You should definitely keep the owl out on display if you can, now that you've brought it out to take the pic.

No I don't think so Hezz re another owl pic, I did start a 'mother hen' cross stitch, but it has fallen by the wayside (for a while). Perhaps that's the one you are thinking of? I will pick it up at some point. At present I am simply not into anything 'crafty' for some reason. I even have a black jumper that is 80% finished! I Knitted a black coat a long time ago but never wore it, so un-picked it all to make this jumper, which now just sits on a chair in my bedroom I am ashamed to say!!
