I used to knit, very basic stuff. But not good with my neck bent and my hands in those positions. Crochet, I managed once to do a circle. More by chance, lol

My mum taught me to knit, must've been about 12 years old, but I never knit. I just don't have the patience to do something so intricate. I'd drop a stitch and just think "£%&£$%*£$%*£$%*£ it, I give up" Tweetiepie , yes it is crochet and it wasn’t really difficult to do...just a lot of it lol. Many years ago a lady of 93 taught me how to crochet, she was so patient. I have tried to teach my granddaughter to crochet but she would rather play on her phone 🙄

I think Marianne Marlow any hobby has to be something you really enjoy and then you'll develop the patience. A lot of people say they don't have the patience to keep budgies - cleaning up after them, accepting the noise, trying to train and interact with them... Its obviously something you enjoy and do beautifully!

samwiseg I wanted to ask earlier. I have never tried pebble/stone art. What kind of colors did you use there - acrylic, oil based or something else? It turned out beautiful 🧡 Sorry I missed this haven't been online for a bit. They are paint pens I use, similar to these: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174475716403

I agree.. It's just so beautiful 😍 The minute details 🧡 This needs so much patience.. I am in love with any art form, just I think I have lost the patience to do it! Esp after I got cervical.. 😑

These are all from my school and college days.. Sorry, I didn't rotate few of these pics This one was a trial painting to check.. i drew it with a pen and just painted it badly! Please don't look at the background in the painting..it's just so bad! Then, i ended up painting the same overnight on a larger canvas, which is much better than this one..i couldn't find the original one..it's at my mom's home now This one is my mom's.. I love it and have wanted to replicate it since long! These were the sketches I did, but never painted any of them..i know, all are some weird drawings.. This one is from a school drawing book.. This one I had doodled for a granted brother.. He is from another religion and lives far away, so I ended up drawing this on their festival and sending the pic.. None of this collection is close to what others have.. I guess I have a confidence issue..I feel that I have forgotten everything and wouldn't be able to do it again! It's all in the mind, I know! 🤦♀️ Maybe I will be inspired by people over here, to start it again!
