Thank you. My talent is eating them lol this is wall art, it comes plain from Dunelm, so I painted it as my bedroom lime and white. Did another for lounge in raspberry, in this pic it was darker but went over it to lighten up

Absolutely love them. Sorry to contradict you but you’re definitely creative too. I bake because I enjoy it but mainly as I love to eat it also.

Is anyone crafting for the holidays either to decorate your home or to give as gifts? I ordered a kit to knit a shawl and these darling little scissors came with the kit. I just had to share with this forum. I'll post a picture of the shawl when I'm done.

I love your scissors tweetiepiesmom And your snowmen suesbird and blanket ladybird are brilliant. I'm about to embark on some bobble hats. It's getting very cold at the allotment and although I have one hat David doesn't have one, and I could do with a couple of spares too. I've not done any knitting for a while and feel the urge to do some. I also have plans for a patchwork duvet cover but I still can't decide on the design. I've just had yet another different idea while typing this! I like making presents. I made aprons last year but I can't think of anything to make for people this year. I might do some cross stitch Christmas cards.

I also have those scissors for my cross stitch, but in gold. They are so sharp. Wow, I love everyone’s craft! I have made my own tags this year and also Christmas cards, but other than that I’m concentrating on my winter faery cross stitch. I will no doubt give my dining room Christmas tree a bit of extra flocking before it’s time to decorate. I have the big tree in the lounge and a smaller one in the dining room as we have lovely bay windows. The smaller one just wasn’t as good as I expected when I bought it and so after a couple of years I thought about buying a new one, but then researched flocking, bought a kit from Amazon and it looks amazing. This will be our third year since I did it and I just like to put a small amount of top to make it look fresh and sparkle.

I've never heard of re-flocking a tree, what a good idea. I will have a look. So many nice things being made

This used to be the kids tree when they were children and they loved decorating their own tree. When they got older I decided to reclaim it and was very tempted to buy a new one but decided to have a go at flocking it. This was the first flocking: Our main tree is very traditional Victoriana, red, gold, green, bows, little wooden decorations, cherubs, coloured fairy lights (a bit vintage) etc, so I wanted something very different for the dining room. It’s painted a light sage/seafoam colour so I decided to go for a winter wonderland theme in there. I was so lucky as I got a lot of decorations in the Debenhams sale when I spotted a green and silver theme in there. I’ve not seen any the same green colour since. Literally, the sets were £30 marked down to £4 and so on. I kept sending my poor daughter up to the store in her lunch breaks in the January sale crowds, bless her, but it was worth it, especially as a year later the store has gone. The kit I bought was just like this one from Amazon. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B018MNFDCQ/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_C3EQQSQ21BDNVJGX3DNNIt would easily do about three or four 5’ trees, possibly more, so every year we get it out the box in the garage and I give it a quick extra coat but actually barely any comes off in the box from year to year, so it’s really affordable. That kit will keep me going for years!!! I decided to do the Garland to go up the banister also. This is from a couple of years ago before we painted the hall.

I Love it. I am like you and have lots of decorations. Two trees, one black and decorated silver, this was a tree when my mum died and I felt guilty about using the money in her purse, so I bought a Christmas tree. The other is in the conservatory and full of home made things and things from the children's childhood.

Lovely trees and decorations ariella The flocking looks really good. I have loads of decorations. And we have once or twice had 3 christmas trees. The last few years we've only had one at the last minute. I will be more organised this year. I put up a tree in my teaching room which is mostly decorated with red and gold decorations, mostly from Ikea. I don't put any of my special ornaments on that one in case any go missing. I'm sure no one would want to take one home but I don't want to tempt anyone. Then we always have a tree in the dining room and sometimes one in our bedroom. We used to put a tree in the lounge before we had budgies. Those trees have lots of indivual ornaments that have been presents and some that I made for our first christmas tree. We have lots of bears and an increasing number of bird themed ornaments and a christmas robot which is very cute. I also use the bells I've removed from hamster toys over the years. And most years I'll buy one or two ornaments that I like but I try to be strict about that.
