I love jigsaws. For the past few years I've been buying a Christmas jigsaw for my mum and step dad and doing it in advance, and separating it up in to section to put in the drawers of an advent calendar box I made for them. Apart from that I've not really done any of my own which is a shame as I do enjoy them. That Star Wars jigsaw is amazing willowsmum. I'm not a huge star wars fun but I love jigsaws with lots of characters in them. I'm much prefer doing jigsaws of illustrations or art work rather than photographs. I have 3 jigsaws that I haven't done yet so now is the time. As this thread has reminded me that I have a 3000 piece jigsaw that I've only done once. I've just measured the table in my teaching room and it is big enough (only 3cm to spare in one direction) and not needed for students. It's the S page from Mike Wilks Ultimate Alphabet book. Thanks for starting the thread jellybean. I feel so enthusiastic for jigsaws now!

criswell that's a lovely idea for an advent calendar! There were certainly lots of characters in the Star Wars puzzle (and my son could name them all ) The 3000 piece jigsaw sounds like it will keep you busy for a while. I'm glad you have a table to fit but it's a pain when you have no space to sort through and lay out the pieces. Our desk was only just big enough for the Star Wars puzzle I guess that's when the foldaway boards come into their own.

I've never tried the 3D Hezz. I've done the mirror image ones where the finished puzzle is a mirror image of the picture on the box. They make my brain hurt!

Good grief blue48, that sounds tricky! Hezz I tried a pyramid shaped kids puzzle with my son once. The pieces were made from plastic but they need to be really well made to fit together properly.

jellybean, that's a shame. It'll just have to be a new, bigger house with it's own dedicated jigsaw room then

That sounds like a great idea. I'd love one too 😁

Ahhh, bliss! A room of my own to do what I want in ... and not be taken over by whoever thinks needs a desk at any allotted time. Ooh, blue48, a mirror version does sound interesting. Definitely keep the grey matter ticking over.
