Hello everyone, I sure hope everyone is doing well in these hard times, I hope you and your loved ones and feathered buds are in great health 🙂
I’ve been seeing videos where they add grains and legumes to the birds’ daily meals, I usually grate vegetables with a little bit of seeds everyday for them in little plates for each of them, should there be more ? Like lentils, chickpea powder, chia seeds...etc.? one even put cooked rice ! 😕 any input would be appreciated

If you grow these as sprouts, feed them with your greens, but otherwise I wouldn't. I would suggest that you grow grasses and let them go to seed if you want to supplement their diet in another way. I honestly feel all that other stuff is only so that the humans feel good about providing extras for their birds. I wonder if the birds really do eat it. Stick with your seeds and vegetables, and grow some grasses if you feel their diet lacks variety.
