I was able to have a telephone consultation with my vet at the beginning of this week, then I phoned them when I was in the car park, paid by card over the phone and they came out and left the medication on a table set up outside.
I can't give you any advice as I'm a relatively new budgie owner, but there are experienced members here who I'm sure will help. I feel sure they will advise you to get professional help though.

Could you post some pictures of him or a video so we can see how he looks or his behaviour.

Could you post some pictures of him or a video so we can see how he looks or his behaviour. Of course, as soon as I am done with other chores I can edit this post with pictures, if that is okay (I am new so I have to see how to post videos, but I will try). The weird thing is, he is back at playing and chirping now, and the closing/opening beak issues are not as frequent. I know they will come back in a few days, but they are not present all day; so I will send a video when it will happen again. He has been doing this a lot lately, looking very sick and then looking all energetic and playful. This morning he as not reading to anything, so I got very scared. Still, I am sorry for my original post, I realise I tend to panic very easily in these situations...

Is he moulting, are there lots of feathers about? I have found those feathers at the bottom of the cage, collected in half an hour (although they look normal to me). Also that's how he is now, I think he is moulting because he has little spikes on his head.

He looks a healthy little bird to me.
A heavy moult can really knock the stuffing out of them.
Do you have any dried egg food you could give him, if not you could boil him an egg (boiled for 15/20 minutes) give the yolk mashed up, you could also add a little broccoli and sweetcorn to it, this will give him extra protein which will help him through the moult.

I have dried egg, he loves it, but I can also try and add broccoli and sweetcorn. Thank you so much!

Better adding the broccoli and sweetcorn to the fresh egg.
Edit:- Don't leave fresh egg and veg in the cage any longer than a couple of hours.

Agree he certainly doesn't look like a sick bird in that photo, and agree with jellybean's tips to give him eggfood and veg (not together) Dried eggfood can be left in his cage, fresh egg and veg should not be.
