I am new to this forum but it looks to be a great one.
I have had my English budgie almost 2 years (he was 2 in May 2020) - up on until 2 days ago, he has been great. I noticed black seeds scattered on the floor and the seeds were almost black (there is no black seeds in his food). I looked closer & realized these were seeds that had already been hulled so I know they came from him. I had a budgie prior for almost 12 years and I have never seen this. There were quite a few seeds. But I noticed he was eating & drinking and he was playful, flying and playing with his ball on the floor. The yesterday I noticed on the floor again, there were black seeds, but a lot less than the day before. I noticed his poops were a bit small and were in a line instead of curled. Now today I noticed his poops are watery. There was even just water on the floor in 1 spot - so far no throw up. He's eating, drinking and playing and chirping and talking away so I have no clue what to do. Can someone please tell me anything about any similar experiences and what you did or any advice someone can offer, I would really appreciate it. I'm not ready for him to go. Its scaring me so much. My anxiety is through the roof.
Thanks to anyone who responds.

I recommend getting him checked by a good avian vet. He may have an underlying health issue, like fatty liver disease, that is starting to get worse or he could be dealing with an infection. There are quite a few possible causes for vomiting. Some serious, some easily treated. Most of them can be identified or ruled out by a good vet, with blood work and a physical exam and might require medication.
Even though he is acting normal right now, birds can go down hill very quickly. There are enough warning signs that I would act now, rather than waiting to see if it just goes away on its own or gets worse.

There are many reasons for a budgie to vomit, too many to try to work though on your own. It is best for you to get him in to see an avian vet as soon as you can or, knowing not everyone has access to a specialist, a vet who is comfortable working with birds.
In the meantime stop any fresh food that he might be having, make sure that he is really still eating - sometimes birds will roll seeds around in their beaks and then just drop them instead of eating - and be sure he is staying hydrated. As he still seems playful and happy, I'd guess that he is still feeding and drinking. Keep him warm if he starts to look fluffed up and you can add some apple cider vinegar to his water to help keep his crop at a healthy pH. Do not feed him anything sweet - Bacteria and fungus love to feed on sugar and a small amount of ACV helps keep this under control. Try about three drops of organic, with "the mother" ACV into 100mls of water. Make sure he is happy to drink it (most birds are) and it is very safe to increase the amount added up to 10-fold if needed. It can also help settle a "squirmy' crop or digestive system at a pinch.
Hopefully the vet will be able to give you some good news and get your little bird back into full health. Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks so much for the advice -I have found an avian vet not far from where I live. Today he is still very playful - I see him eating and drinking - my mother, who used to breed budgies, suggested I also put less food in his dish as he tends to be a little piggy. He gets millet maybe once a month and actually has not wanted any fruits and veggies - I try but to no avail. No throw up today or yesterday and his poops, while less watery, are a bit small. I will remove the piece of apple I put in his cage per the advice to leave out anything sweet right now. I will call & see if I can get into the vets next week. I just really love this little guy and can't imagine my life without him. Thanks to you all for your responses to my post. I will follow up after the vet appointment.

Fingers crossed that you get in to see the vet soon and they have something positive for you to work with.
