I have a two year old albino female ( Penelope ) she was all white up to a year + she has blue/red eyes and a brown cere that she occasionally scrapes off to a white cere.
I’m confused as in certain sunlight depending on the angle she began getting a gradient translucent blue/turquoise colour like the northern lights in Greenland. This is mainly under her tummy and on her tail feather and seems to be getting more prominent slowly.
I know an albino can not have colour as their genes don’t allow colour pigment to pass through to the feathers.
But also know albinos have brown cere and red eyes so is she albino or is she some form of genetic mutation for example cross of albino and rainbow with a gene fault where some colour has allowed to pass?
I’m no expert just putting that out there it’s just what iv been told so I would like to distinguish what breed my budgie is. Any help much appreciated!
All suggestions welcome

A photo will help, but what you are describing sounds to me what is known as suffusion. It is not uncommon, in fact it's a very common trait in albinos. Also, albinos are not the only mutation to have red or plum-coloured eyes. Does your hen have an iris ring or not?
