My bird just injured his foot, what can I do?

Oh sorry; I didn’t know that Homer had problems flying. That does leave them vulnerable to hurting themselves as they think they should still be able to do what they used to do.

He does still try to use his injured foot? Have you been able to feel the leg or foot to be sure that it isn’t broken?

For a bit of pain relief you can make up a paste of cayenne pepper and water and give this to him, also adding some to his drinking water can help as well. It does settle out so you need to give it a mix every now and then. It doesn’t matter how much you add, using the handle of a teaspoon works well. A couple of these into his water could help him. And keep him warm - a bit of sun on his little bones would be appreciated, l’m sure. Hope he’s feeling better soon.

 No actually I haven’t been able to feel his foot or leg but he is standing on them and not holding it up at all, he just keeps loosing balance or control of it and he tips over,it's slower than the other one when turning or perching, but I think he's improving a bit though, He is eating and drinking water with ACV but when he sleeps he is almost all the way down on his tummy, my heart is aching

No problem. Glad he is using his leg and foot to some extent, and really hoping that he begins to feel much better very soon. A bad sprain though, will take a few weeks to be completely right, just as it would for yourself.

 I hope he gets better soon too, a few weeks is a lot of time for a little fragile birdie, but good to know, thanks again I really appreciate it ❤️
