That's the plan BB. I am really pleased with it. Trust me I never thought that a show cage can work both as transport cage as well as hospital cage. I am pleasantly surprised

Do you believe in Karma? You know how I gave my transport cage away. Well, I spent the last couple of days looking online for a new one to no avail. Then, as I returned from an appointment today, I saw this in a bric-a-brack shop window. It was Aus $35. Thoroughly scrubbed, it's in perfect nick.

They're quite small aren't they. But nice and portable and should be easy to keep warm in an emergency.
I think the universe gave it to me.

Yes, nice and sturdy too. I think it's a perfect transport box!

I'm taking Bud (Boo) to the vet on Saturday, so it's just in time. It's his first time. Not that I think he's ill exactly, but I haven't been happy about his poop for a while. Not sure if it's nothing, or if there's just something not quite right. Need my mind put at rest.
Plus, once the vet has physically seen the bird, he gives back up advice on the phone and will do poop tests on the spot if you send them express post to him, without a visit.

That is good Stace. Let me know how the transport cage works out. Of course we would like to know how Boo is too! Sounds like you have a great vet! Blueboy will be using his cage on 28th to go and see the vet too.

Yes. I thought that was pretty good vet service too.
With Boo I'm wondering if he's done something perhaps to his kidneys, when he banged himself up when he got startled by thunder in his sleep. I shall find out soon.
If I can, I'll do some reportage on the visit. Not that it will be terribly exciting, I hope. Like air travel, uneventful is best.

All the best for little boo. Do his droppings have a greeny/yellowness to them?

They're a little more green than they used to be. It's more that there is excessive liquid. They're a bit more sloppy, but not like diarrhoea. He's drinking a lot more than he usually does. He used to have perfect tight and tidy poops.

You could be right then. Poor little Boo Boo. Hope it goes well.
Jerry has liver problems too. I think a few of us have birds with this.
