Just got a parakeet today and noticed that his poop is very watery and yellow. His first one was solid, though quite light in color. But his newer ones are mostly liquid, it seems. I tried using the 'sick poo' post, though most of the pictures were unavailable. Does anyone have any experience or idea what would cause the droppings to look like this? I expected maybe some weirdness since he was relocated and was stressed, but this seems like a LOT of weirdness. I contacted the shop I got him from--it's a small, local business and has a really animal-savvy owner, so I guess I expected a much healthier bird than at a chain pet store?--and am waiting to hear back. I'm going to be keeping an eye on his droppings over the next few days since both the store and vets near me are closed tomorrow.

The little guy will be stressed from the move into a new and strange environment.
Cover the cage on 3 sides leaving the front open for a few days to allow him to settle.
A few months back when I got a new bird his poops were the worst I had ever seen in a bird, turns out it was the change in seed from what he had been fed from the breeder, I went back to the breeder, who gave me his brand of seed and I weaned him off it gradually, and he's been fine since.
Give him time to settle, and hopefully his poops should return to normal.
Would love to see pics of the little guy.

You don't say where you are, so it is a bit hard to give any direction regarding any vet experience. No bird is going to be happy moving to a new environment, let alone new diet (as per jellybean's experience) so a few odd poops in the first day is hardly surprising.

Thanks so much jellybean and Hezz, I was really concerned since my other parakeet had normal droppings from the get-go and I'd never seen anything like it. I peeked in on him a little while ago, and there's a dropping that looks a lot better, but there's also one hanging from his vent. I live close to the border of another state, so I'll look into exotic/avian vets farther away. Also, here's a pic of him, jellybean
