With the remainder of my Xmas money I had bought the Monts a new toy, but as we have been waiting to get a suitable bracket for it, it has not been put up until now: Considering, it was particularly large, I thought Mont might be a tad intimidated by it at first but looky looky what happened 2 days after it was up: We trimmed the tassels on the bottom to make it a bit tidier, but it was obviously so intimidating she decided to get ready to go to sleep on it: Just goes to prove how much we think we know our birds, doesn't it?

What a great thing/perch/swing that is. Monts looks like she's settled in for the night.
I was just now looking up ideas to see if I could make something like that.

Looks lovely.
Watch the hanging tassels of rope though as birdies can get their feet caught in them.

We are going to attach some more of her fav toys to it so she can play on it all the time, just didn't want to overwhelm her so thats why her most FAVOURITIST thing went on first which was the mirror! ;D

Why would Lady Monty be intimidated by something sooooo useful? And it looks soooo much prettier with "me" on it!! Doesn't it, Mirror? Great you have cut the tassels. If you are worried that the knots may come undone, I have put a cable-tie around the ends as close as possible to the knot and pulled it up as tightly as possible. So far it has worked.

You are soooo right! God, you know you own a hen bird alright! And brilliant idea about the tassels and cable tie idea, will have to fish some of them out

OK, I am going to make something like this but bigger for my budgies I thought it was great, too. I'd just been looking at these earlier, thinking about how I'd make them. Sort of similar idea. Without all the beads and baubles, it should be quite easy. Just need some branches made into a ladder shape and some sisal rope.

Not only hens, so rest assured the cocks can get through some stuff too. Anyway, it will have that lived-in look about it, lol.
