Hi everyone, I have 6 budgies and they are 4 females and two males. To form couples, do I leave them all together for a few months or do I divide them into two groups? For example, a male and two females in one cage and another male and two females in the other cage? Thanks in advance!

Just leave them all together and a bond should form eventually

If you are going to separate them for breeding, only separate into a couple. Two hens in a breeding cage is only asking for trouble - the "other" hen will kill her rival's chicks, or even the hen herself.
If obvious pairing happens naturally, keep these two as a couple; if they haven't paired up you can try putting a pair together and they may mate given the right stimulation (can be in the form of another couple mating).
