She's almost there; her cere should turn a crusty nut-brown. That doesn't mean that she will want to mate, though.

Not unless you are sure you want them to have a clutch. If you do want them to breed, you will need to look in stores or on-line for a suitable box. A hinged lid, high-set nest hole with outside perch, preferably removable concaves so that you can swap over for easy cleaning.

I purchased a solid nest box, really well made with lift up front with also a viewing window and a removable concave. My question is how would I attach it to the bird cage, I really don't want to have to damage the cage by cutting the bars, or should I put the box inside the cage. thank you for any advice

Would need a photo of the cage. If it isn't big enough for the nest box to sit inside, or have a large door opening that will fit a nest box then you might have to buy another, bigger cage.

The cage has a large front opening door and there is room inside for the box but it would make checking the box and cleaning it a bit awkward. need to get my thinking cap on

Are there any smaller doors where you could put the nestbox on the outside, with the entrance hole aligned with the little door ? My nestbox is attached to the outside with bungee cords. Unfortunately, though, my birds don't seem to have much inclination to breed, and haven't ever entered the nestbox, or showed any interest in it.
