sweetpea it was Macbeth and Pride and Prejudice for me too. I had 'Mr Darcy was a proud man' drummed into me!! Thanks for the link to your blog, it looks great. I'm definitely going to enjoy reading about all of your buds I much prefer the Bronte's to Austen! I didn't think my blog would still be going after such a long time (about 10 years!) so there's a lot there. Let me check... 944 posts!

That's a lot of posts. I haven't counted mine, not sure how! If you go into the Posts sections, you should see 'Published', 'Scheduled' & 'Drafts' across the top with the numbers in brackets. I have 29 drafts... story of my life!

Gotta say, Shakespeare plays all have a similar theme, dunno if you've noticed? Most of them die by either poisoning or stabbing! But there is one that didn't. Can you name them?
Just bumped into this and thought of our recent discussion. In this regard he was especially creative in TITUS ANDRONICUS...
EDIT: sorry, for some reason the image will not load. Might be a copyright issue. It was a chart depicting how characters die in Shakespeare's tragedies.

I had forgotten about Portia in JULIUS CAESAR eating hot coals. Ouch.
But TITUS ANDRONICUS takes the cake...or should I say, pie. Poor Demetrius and Chiron get baked into a pie which is fed to Tamora who, of course, dies of indigestion!
A creative guy, The Bard was.

Perhaps yellowfacedviolet that's where the idea for Sweeney Todd came from lol! Who knew we'd know about so much literature?
