I'd first like to apologize if this is the wrong place to post this? I've looked at the code of conduct and the other thread folders around the board and figured a question like this would go here as it isn't health related or genetics or anything else, just... weird behavior I can't find an answer for online.
I have four budgies- the intent was to get two, but here we are (don't worry, there's plenty of space for all of them and I have the supplies and funds to take care of them, though I wasn't expecting a trip to the vet for a checkup alone to be nearly ninety dollars.. yikes, but still viable). I think? two are male and two are female, though one of the "alleged females" ceres is gradually getting bluer (it was a very pale sort of purple). All of that information aside, one of the budgies is relatively new, and was intended to be a friend for my gentle little pied budgie who gets bullied frequently by the other two. He had a friend, however they unfortunately passed away within a week of getting home for.. reasons I can't figure out- I'm operating under the assumption they came home sick, as they were acting off for a while, however the vet was booked up- and he had this weird habit with them. He kept stepping on the other bird's lower back. He doesn't do this with the other two, just that one. Now that there's another budgie around who doesn't seem to bully him, he's started doing the same thing to that one. For the life of me, I can't figure out what he's doing.
Does anybody know? Should I stop him from doing this to the other budgie/Is it a bad habit or will it upset them?
