Oh Sam, I'm so sorry for your loss. You must be devastated. Murph was such a character, larger than life as they say. Thank you for sharing his antics on the forum, thanks to you I felt I knew him well. It's such a hard decision to make but please take some comfort in the fact that you did what was best for him, no matter how hard it was for you. He had a wonderful life with you and you gave him the best possible care. Fly high gorgeous boy x Sending big hugs Sam x

Sam I am so sorry. It is such a hard decision to make whether to pts or not, you don't want them to suffer but then you have doubts if it is the right time or not. Sometimes the kindest thing we can do for them is to help them at the end. Hugs x

Thank you all for your kind messages, they mean so much right now. Rest assured I feel it was totally the right decision so dont feel guilty in any way. My thoughts and attentions are going to Nubbs atm, purely because he has been shouting quite a lot for Murph. There are times when he will just sit up in the corner of the cage like he's had a night fright But rest assured he is warming towards me incredibly quickly! We have had talk sessions, millet feeding and little sing songs together lol! If I talk to him in passing he will run over and look at me (bless him) so i'll give him a chat. I will however not respond to his shouting or screeching and it is proving that he is doing less of that now because he knows he only gets rewarded for singing or tweeting. He actually came out for a play first time today! Baby steps I have buried Murph next to Marley in the garden and shall decorate a pebble for him. He is in front of our jasmine

Being close to Marley and the jasmine sounds nice samwiseg. I remember seeing Marley's beautiful 'mandala' pebble, it would be lovely if you wanted to share Murph's when it's done. I'm so glad that Nubbs is well and that you have each other. Lots of singing sounds like a lovely idea x
