I've just been to the garden centre and obviously it would be rude not to stop and look at the pet budgies. Slightly surprised to see a cage full of plain white birds. They almost didn't look like budgies!

I would have been very tempted. I couldn't be sue what sex they were or have any idea on age so I'd not have gone for it. I'd not trust a garden centre to get that sort of information correct. I'd love another little bud (or 6) though... They were quite a sight. But you can imagine the conversation when choosing one. 'The white one please. No not that one, or that one, or that one... The other white one!'

Wow - they look absolutely beautiful.
The eyes I can see don't look red, but maybe that is just how the photo has come out?
And they are in nicer surroundings than you sometimes see.

If the eyes are not red then they're double factor spangles, like my Blithe.

If the eyes are not red then they're double factor spangles, like my Blithe. Blithe is just stunning. Now you are just encouraging me to go back tomorrow and check their eyes! That could be dangerous and potentially result in owning an extra budgie...

...or Dark-eyed Clears, if the eyes stay solid black. If the eyes iris they're DF Spangles.

My budgie broodiness is increasing. Same here, @sillycat84! I'm turning into a dotty senior with tiny budgies, instead of hearts, in my eyes
