Damn, that's not good, but at least it doesn't seem to be something that is acute and debilitating. I would take both birds since they are both showing the same signs, if only for the fact that if you do get some treatment you are going to need it for both of them and vets shouldn't dispense drugs without seeing their patients, so if they haven't seen both birds they really shouldn't give out drugs for them both.
Good luck, come Monday.

Thanks Hezz. Like everyone else here, I love my two guys so much and its upsetting to see them not well. Buddy woke up this morning singing, chirping and bugging Tweetie Pie like normal. Then about mid-day he got quiet and only came out once to fly but didn't go further then the top of the cage.

Thank you! Last night before I covered them for the night, I put a new paper in their cage bottom. Both had gone to their sleeping perches. This morning Buddy was being his normal obnoxious self, chirping and chasing Tweetie Pie. Then I interrupted the normal routine by taking pictures of the cage bottom. Now he's perched looking around probably wondering what's going on! Fortunately whatever they have isn't making them very sick. Here's Tweetie Pie's overnight poops: And here's Buddy's: You can see both of them have some undigested seeds near their poop. Their sleeping perches are in the center of the cage and not near food dishes. Its not many seeds either. Tweetie Pie was chewing on the cuttlebone a lot yesterday which maybe is why his poop looks more watery. Any thoughts?

Buddy was his normal self today, chirping away and annoying Tweetie Pie whose so sweet - he just moves out of Buddy's way. Almost everytime I stood in front of their cage and held up my arm, Buddy flew over, played on my arm and kissed my thumbnail. I didn't see him cough up any seeds although Tweetie Pie did. Both boys came out to play and fly around. In addition to wheat grass, they got oregano and they both chowed down on it.

Though you are going to the vet, just wondering... could it be due to any new changes in the diet (if at all any?)
All the best for the vet visit..

Yes mona, the plan is still to get them to the vet. Your post above was late Sun evening here. Its now Mon morning and I'm waiting for the vet to open and then I'll call. I'm getting used to the time zone changes and when people are likely to post here. When I wake up, there are a number of posts from people in the UK. By early afternoon here, people in the UK stop posting - its their bedtime! You and Hezz usually post in the evening for me. We are truly an international group! I will post once I talk to the vet.

I spoke with the vet's assistance. She quizzed me about their symptoms and called me back. The vet said it didn't sound like an emergency since its been going on for a bit but call if anything changes. With Thanksgiving this Thurs, they will be closed both Thurs and Fri so my appointment on Dec 2 is the first available. She said I can call each day to see if there has been a cancellation.
I haven't seen Buddy cough up any seeds again and no change in Tweetie Pie. Whatever is going on, it doesn't seem to be very aggressive.

Sorry to hear both your boys are poorly TPM, I'm glad that they are still behaving normally though. It's a shame you have to wait so long before you can see the vet as it would be reassuring to have them checked out.

I'm glad the vet doesn't think that it is serious and that your boys are generally their usually selves. Good luck with the vet visit.

I've been paying attention to Buddy and haven't seen him cough up any seeds. I'm wondering now if I am paranoid and Buddy was just adjusting his crop the other day and really vomiting. They are both full of energy this morning, jumping around, making lots of noise and playing with each other.

Tweetie Pie seems a bit worse today. He coughed up seeds a couple times right after he ate them. I've fed him some millet and he seems to have kept those down. He's still preening and moving around but napping a bit more. I think I might move him to the hospital cage. At what point Hezz or anyone else who might know, do I start calling to find a vet who might treat him right away rather than wait for his appointment next Tues? Buddy looks just fine, so I think what I saw was him adjusting his crop and I over reacted. Although I don't like the idea of putting Tweetie Pie in the tiny hospital cage, I've seen Buddy go up to him and eat a seed or two that Tweetie Pie coughed up. Since Buddy seems to be fine now, I don't want him to get sick. Any suggestions? Tweetie Pie is eating his grass and herbs.

I am sorry Tweetie Pie is not himself. If there other avian vets you can perhaps try, then even to just put your mind at rest, it might be worth it to save you worrying over the weekend?
