Let's not forget Hezz and samwiseg I'm glad that you like being here. We try and make it a friendly place I think everyone appreciates any work that goes into it Marianne Marlow. To check posts and moderate where needed is obviously time out of your day or evening. Thank you.

To be honest, I didn’t know who was who, though realised Hezz has lots of advice and experience. I realised you were admin but had no idea if anyone else was instrumental in thesetting up and running of the forum, so yes, a big thank you to samwiseg and Hezz also. The breadth of experience from around the world is fantastic. I am really enjoying becoming part of this lovely community.

Thank you for starting this thread mona and thank you for Marianne Marlow, Hezz and samwiseg for all you do to keep the forum running smoothly for us. I love the forum. It has been so important to me and by boys since I've joined and I too refer to you as my budgie friends, when talking to my family and even to our vet. It is a really special place, with lovely people and it's full of kindness, support and advice. I don't really do social media either. I have some family and friends in FB and a group of gerbil friends too from the days before budgies, but no one expects to see me there very often. And even at times when I don't pop into the forum very often I still think about you and your budgies, and I have to pop in to check everyone is ok. This forum really is a special place xxx

Dont forget that all of YOU members make it a great place to be a part of too! Usually hate cliche's but as they say, "birds of a feather..." and all that

Every one on this forum is very helpful over here.. Glad that you could gain some insight and help your birdies. You would really learn a lot from this forum and know many more kind souls.. it's very genuine - more than facebook or Instagram.. I was very naive when I joined the forum.. and it has been a great learning curve.. One of the initial suggestions was about a tree stand or a play gym.. I would have never thought of it at that point of time.. and now, I have a room full of birdie items.. My birdies were cage bound for a long time at their previous home before being rehomed 😔 and this space helped me so much to get them out of cage, work on their proper diet, learn about their mental stimulations, the issues, the preventive measures and what not.. To be honest, many people around me, told me that if I let them out of cage, one day they will fly away, plus the cleaning effort.. I think everything is worth it, when I see them flying all over the space, also knowing that it will help them burn some calories and be healthy.. 🧡 With proper precautions flying away can be definitely prevented.. I love watching them flying around and having fun now.. I have grown so much as a birdie mum with this forum, which I think it has been just over 8 months - since I have joined..
Apart from that, I would say I'm one of the least experienced one over here.. I love it when I get some advices over smallest of issues over here, since I'm really naive and inexperienced at times..
