I'm so happy that these 2 little birdies decided to move out of the cage! They are sooooo happy! Here's breezie singing on the ceiling fan. I've covered it for easy cleaning (no exposed cello tapes or glue - kept that on the lower side of fan). they spent first few days on the ceiling fan. Now, it's when they are scared or they need a change of place to run around. Hoping that would change soon, as I'm trying to get natural toys, perches, gym and tree stand, hopefully in a couple of days
Breezie was reluctant to come out of the cage. But he followed cookie. Cookie is adventurous and brave! The moment he came out the cage and flew high, he bumped into the wall, fell down and sat for a while on the bed (it was daytime). I saw him having trouble landing and flying with aim. Today, I see him landing and flying at super speed. So happy to see him learn that.
This is them exploring to come outside the cage, while I was feeding them fresh greenies..
A bird room is never bird safe. I ended up sealing the window sliders with jute ropes. The curtains are jute based curtains, still wondering if I should remove them?! I brushed cookie aside from chewing on them!
They are letting me come near them.. View of a human from a cage vs outside would be definitely scary for them! Doing nothing except talking singing and feeding!
Admit to low quality videos! 🙉
Edit: The aan-aan sound works well (referred from biting posts from Hezz) to tell Cookie not to chew on the curtains! She actually understood the aan-aan sound better than No, don't do that. She was chatting back with me, when I made that "aan" sound, as if to allow her to chew on the curtain! 🙈
We wait for these lil birdies, not to be afraid of us & wonder later, why aren't they afraid of anything! She is like the little don! 😅
