It sounds very much as though Cookie is looking for a nesting site. Make sure you can see her at all times. I've lost a hen inside a slightly open desk drawer. Luckily I didn't close the drawer and just walk away, only because I could hear her little feet scrabbling around on paper. Noted Hezz ...

Breezie came close to me twice today, at his own will - one during spray bath and another while I was hand feeding Cookie sprouts! ๐
He came closer to my elbow and touched it with his beak. Wide eyed, I looked at him & didn't move! Such baby steps are so full of happiness!
Cookie stopped trying to climb the cupboard, since past two days. When they aren't naughty, you wonder if they are ill or bored. Definitely, going to grey out sooner than others, always being the worried one! She seems fine. I'm over thinking again!
I always check on them, when it's too silent.. either they are at their naughtiest behavior or sleeping or just why are they so quiet?!

Lol mona. I do love a mischievous budgie but I know what you mean. I worry over the slightest thing. Bertie has a new noise that sounds a bit croaky. I immediately worried that he had a sore throat but now I know it's sort of a cross between a tweet and a squawk. Maybe a squeet (or a twuark).

Oh, that's seriously true. I am still discovering the new inventions these buds do, reg the variety of sounds they can generate from their vocal chords! ๐
This is the closest I have been to breezie (in my giant human size!) Loved the experience. The spray bath water is distilled water too, since they love drinking the droplets too.. It's a mist spray, just the water level was low during the video.. he just wants to bathe forever! ๐ฅฐ Had it been a few more seconds, he would have tried to perch on the spray nozzle! ๐
I'm worried about spraying water directly at him & he's like "what are you doing, you silly human?! ๐ Spray me here, here and here! ๐
Cookie hates spray bath, she ran away immediately! ๐ She would just bathe at her own will in the drinking water!

Same goes for toddlers. I went into the kitchen to get something. I was literally 30 seconds and no noise from the living room. I looked round the corner to see Eve trying to pull the table on wheels that my computer is on, closer to her so that she could grab my "pretty" Cup full of coffee. Just got there in time!
There are boxes in the way, but she pushed past them.

Breezie certainly was enjoying his spray mist; as for mischief, my motto as a parrot owner is "beware the silence".

If there's silence for sometime, there's some mischief going on! You need to be on toes when you have kids at home (and a birdie too ๐) and you have got both!

I'm surprised Cookie hasn't pushed that food dish off the platform. There is no more fun in the pet bird world than pushing things, favourites being things that make a great noise!, off the top of somewhere high. Second best are things that make a big mess. Munchy used to do this with his toys. We'd put them on the windowsill and he'd toss them off one at a time and peer down at them. My nan used to yell "Vandal!" across the room at him.

My favorite melody! ๐ฅฐ The group chirping! My heart skips a beat when I hear their beautiful and melodious song! It reminds me of kindness, love, peace, companionship, patience and all similar reasons we all came into existence, to co-exist with others!
The serenity and peace I experience in their presence is beyond words! Since the time these beautiful buds came into my life, it changed drastically from "No time to stand and stare!" to "A bird came down the walk!" These birds are one of the best things that happened to me. They taught me selfless love, kindness and soooo much patience, which I never knew I had ๐
If world calls them the noisy birds, I love noisy!! ๐งก If the world calls them the messy birds, I love messy!! ๐
๐ฅฐ๐๐งก
They constitute an important part in my "happily ever after" โค

Yesterday, Cookie & Breezie drank water from the water bowl held in my hand. Never done before ever. They took sips from it very calmly. I didn't expect Cookie at all to drink, since she takes more time to trust.. but she DID too!!!! I'm so happy and I know that they might not repeat the same behavior. But I love it that they trust me! They also tried out hard boiled egg mashed finely with their sprout mix. They might not have eaten it all, but at least some of it must have reached their tummy. They went crazy after moong beans today! Their food bowl:

That's so great mona! I've not tried holding water up to them. I rarely see Tweetie Pie drink but Buddy's not shy about drinking around me. Lovely that they are trying new things!

So, I had reduced spinach in their daily diet. I just got a batch today, so offered a leaf with stem to them. I saw Breezie attack cookie for the first time ever over spinach stem. Had to split the stem and leaf into two! ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
They see cage as their happy place. They are in real good mood, if I offer fresh greens first thing in the morning! They don't eat it much once they get out of cage. So, I changed the schedule to give fresh greens in the morning & they love it. I just wonder if we could understand what they say!
Since I'm alone the entire day, I end up staying in their room for most of the day. Yesterday, I had a power nap there and these two sang their heart out, very loudly.. and I slept with that! The moment I got up, both of them went for a power nap.. lol..
I even wonder what kind of names they might have given to us, when they call us?! (For the ones who can't speak human language, just the birdie language). It would be pretty funny to know, if we ever knew!

Such delightful little birds! I give my two grass and an herb of some sort in the morning. Yesterday it was basil and both attacked it like they were starving. I think it was Hezz who said budgies like stems and I see that is true. Yesterday they ate some from the leaves but really chewed the stems down until everything fell to the cage bottom. Since they seemed to be enjoying it so much, I clipped another piece for them from my garden. Such is the joy of growing your own herbs - you can give them what they want when they are enjoying it.

Mine love stems! They finish everything from the stem. I think it's crunchy and watery.. They love Spinach leaf too.
I'm very bad with basil! Somehow, it dries out always. Maybe, I should try it again here. The weather supports plant growth here
