Hi, my budgie is a male, about 6 years old, lives on his own (no other budgies). For almost 24 hours he’s been kind of lethargic, fluffed up feathers. Leaning on a toy (which I covered with a blanket). Eating/drink a very small amount but mostly sleeping with head in his back. His poo is kind of green and white. Could it just be that he is old and maybe dying? He’s never been sick before.

Hi traveller, I think you need to get your little bird to an Avian vet ASAP.

Hi and welcome travellerSorry to hear your birdie is poorly, as jellybean has said I would advise to get your birdie to the vet. It would be an idea to make sure you keep him warm as well as the reason they fluff up is to keep warm when they are sick.

I can only second jellybean's response - he doesn't sound well at all. There are too many issues that all present the same way, so trying to guess what might be his problem would be unhelpful. You need a professional's help.

Any follow up please?
Agree with all of the above, the bird needs a vet and is way too sick to be helped by any of our advice. When they lean on things constantly and don't move about much, they are very weak and possibly wont even eat or drink enough.

Sorry, missed this thread. I hope you managed to get to an avian vet traveller.
