Monty sound so lovely! What a joy to have him back. I would love a little bud to give head scritches. Barney will sit and and preen us but will not entertain a head scritch in return. Silver used to love them. I miss my snuggly bud.
Your little play table is amazing. Does Monty pick up the balls and throw them over the edges?

We've come to visit my grandparents today. I hadn't told them that Munchy was home with me yet, so I covered the travel cage up on the journey to do the grand reveal. I put the cage down and lifted the cover off. My nan looked and saw one bird and asked, "Only one? Where's the other one?" I just smiled at her and she looked again, exclaimed, "Munchy! Oh, Munchkin!" and got very tearful. Munchy for his part took a good look around and at them both, and as they moved away he started running up and down his perch. The instant the cage door was open he was out and flying back and forth between the windowsill and the door handle. It was very much like he'd come home. He's even back in his old spot next to me!

Definitely! He didn't seem to want to leave. As I was carrying the travel cage out of the door he moved so he was as close to the inside as possible.

ffiscool He probably felt that he WAS home! Aww, jellybean! My granddad was pleased to see him too. He said that Munchy was very much part of the family.

That's so heartwarming. And the fact that these little creatures remember everything and everyone. So happy that he is reunited with everyone. So glad that he is in good hands again ❤🤗

@sillycat84 that's so lovely, I can just picture him being so excited and trying his hardest to stay, even as he was being removed in his cage. Bless him

I'm so pleased you had a lovely visit. I can just envisage your Gran, that's the Gran who didn't want a bird in the house, messy little blighters that they are. Munchy won her over and continues to, to this day. I'm sure both Grand's were happy to see him back home where he belongs.

Just catching up with this amazing story - with it’s painful bits and delights and reunions! It’s great that you and Munchy are an ‘item’ again and that your grandparents are sharing the love! ❤️💙💚

Hezz We joke that my nan had a funny turn when she agreed to let me have a budgie, but he won her over so many times with his antics! This is the Nan who now says, "Are the boys coming?" when we're organising a visit. He seems very much back to his old self today. Still not really chasing the Kevins about but he's sat on my tummy and let me fuss his cheeks, and is generally less bitey.
