I think it was just natural light, but I could of had the room light on. Sorry I took the pics a few weeks ago. Thanks though!

Yes, Marianne Marlow - I can see the difference now. Is it just the colour or do hens have flatter ceres as well?

I'm not sure if they have flatter ceres, it's not something I have noticed before. Anyway, this bird looks like a male in some photos and a hen in others, maybe it's a case of wait and see!! Yes, Marianne Marlow - I can see the difference now. Is it just the colour or do hens have flatter ceres as well?

Thanks for the reply’s everyone! I was going crazy looking at pics of other birds and thought it was a bit close to tell. I will keep saying boy for now and see what happens. Just need to name him, been struggling for weeks haha.

I think that it is just that the cere isn't as dark as the other male, and remembering that this is only a baby, that is quite understandable. I still don't see any whiteness around the nares.

I also see a boy. Looks like there’s blue right up by the nares, and his dilute mutation could affect the depth of color of his cere at this young age
