So from moving things around I've found that certain playgyms get the most use in particular locations.
Unfortunately one of them gets the most use when it is on top of the desk but has a hook that Indie and Yuki will occasionally stand on due to their apparent need to NIBBLE THE CEILING!!!
If the paint were flat I wouldn't think much of it but someone decided artexing was the way to go when they made this room.
Trying to think of ways to make it a bit lower so they can't reach, because it is nice to see them climbing over the bits and bobs hanging from that gym.

the bit directly above, whilst it will not be attractive, could something be stuck to it, so they cannot get the paint sticking out if lowering it doesn't work..

Hmmm - yes, Berry nibbled my artex ceiling in last flat. He could reach it from the curtain rail. Hope you can find a solution.

ffiscool birdguhl I think I'll stick some paper over the place they can reach, either with sticky tack or tape. It's a rental but already need to repaint the walls before we move out so what difference will the ceiling make? Might do it above the wardrobe too because that's the best place to store the travel cage.

Paper would be an even bigger lure to nibble to my lot ffiscool birdguhl I think I'll stick some paper over the place they can reach, either with sticky tack or tape. True! But if they nibble the paper it isn't the ceiling! Speaking of which, Yuki loves those thin strips of crinkly coloured paper. He'll take one out of a toy and even end up carrying it around the room with him. It's adorable. I have wall paint all over the room, so I understand the concern.. They haven't done it yet.. even if there is a ton of things to chew on and play, cookie will always find something unusual to play with.
I'm thinking about sticking something just behind the curtain rod too.
Maybe a long thin activity board.. which keeps them away from touching the wall there.. or maybe just a long strip of natural loofah.. If that's easily available at your place, maybe you could stick that there.. it will take time to be destroyed and replaced..

I think this should do the trick. At least for now.

What did you stick that with, @sillycat84? I can just imagine if I was doing that I'd be huffing and puffing and swearing and then listening to the gentle crinkle as it detaches itself and reaches the floor!!

birdguhl I stuck the corners with blu-tack and then hastily added selotape! I was grumbling enough just trying to reach the ceiling and getting the tack to stick to the paper! Marianne Marlow It is! Fortunately I don't think they can reach the edges to get a grip on it.

I just have to know now @sillycat84, has the paper survived this long?
