Nice!! Having only boys must make a difference. Even my shy girl Pig has gotten very chewy lately

Yuki's pretty chewy (I had to get a cheap round paper light shade...) but they don't often go on the travel cage and there aren't any edges they can reach to nibble on over the playgym.
I turned the gym and cage around though so the paper has now been extended.

Yuki is currently attempting to find edges but not with much effort.

Their stuff is getting in need of a proper wash, but I'm about to do 6 shifts in 7.5 days so I think it can wait for a bit.
Either that... or trust the OH to do some of it on the weekend...

Morgan it's bad luck because the work week starts on Sunday and I got given Friday and Saturday this week, then next week is the week of my make up shift so I have 4 rather than 3. I don't know why we can't just have a 36 hour contract instead of 37.5 if we have to make up the 30 minute break for each shift as a result. But ah well. Hopefully I'll be able to move to theatres instead, though that will mean one less day for the budgies to come out.

@sillycat84 - I think I understood most of that xD Well, just hang in there! At least it isn’t forever, and you are able to do something you believe in and are passionate about.

Basically it’s just a daft thing because the amount of hours we’re contracted for is how long we’re in work each week, except they take away the 30 minutes for lunch each day, so we owe 1.5 hours every week and have to do an extra shift once every two months. It’ll be a busy week, but I have some nice time off at the end of January.

@sillycat84 - That just sounds silly to me! Let’s just exhaust our staff by making them take another shift, on top of an already full workload doing a job that is stressful enough as it is, instead of what, having one more person on shift instead...? I don’t quite get the why behind this type of scheduling maneuver, but I am glad it’s only once every two months for your sake! Hahaha the rules we humans create for ourselves, and each other!

Morgan Yes, last time I had this I actually had 12 hours of annual leave, so fortunately I didn't have a 4th shift, but I also didn't get any time off really either. Ah well. It is what it is. I feel bad for the budgies being stuck inside so much. Although my last shift is a night so they can come out during the day.
