I'm looking for food cups small enough that I don't feel like I have to give him extra food so he can reach it comfortably when he eats. Stainless steel is preferable, but I'm not finding anything online that would work. I figure a ~2oz cup would be perfect (5oz is definitely too big, and probably close to the size dish I have for him), but I can only find it in plastic. Does anyone know where I could reliably order some shallow stainless steel food dishes to deliver to the west coast?
In the meanwhile, I just ordered a couple of plastic ones and will make due.

I spent ages trying to find stainless steel that small, and in the end gave up and went for either ceramic hamster dishes or small items from the kitchenware section. Though currently my three are using a pie dish and rummaging through crinkly paper to find their seeds.
If you're in the US you might have better luck on the stainless steel front though. Classic and Rosewood both do a shallow stainless dish. I think it's 100ml or 150ml, but it's shallow and broad enough that they can reach the bottom comfortably.

I can see some baby cat feeding stainless steel bowls on amazon in the US too.. if you would like to use that.. I have two of them, without the rubber mat and any prints and that helps with the fighting over food issue with my birdies.. and I keep the food on the base of the cage..but not under any perch or swing to get soiled..
I'm not sure if you would want to.. but in case.. we use stainless steel in day to day usage over here, but we buy from local stores.. I search the amazon items to ship from US to India.. If in case the shipping fee isn't much, you could try checking for products at amazon.in. The cost would be lower on conversion into dollars, but I'm not sure if it's shipped outside country.. it should cost around 3 to 10 dollars..but you would have to check the reviews for authentic stainless steel.. Signoraware is a good brand.. I haven't tried out the pet bird bowls available here so far..

This is very common question that unfortunately has not ever been addressed properly. Maybe it is a bird conspiracy - no small bowls, make them all too big so that the silly humans feel they have to fill them up for the little birds to be able to reach. Also the smallest ones that I could find on line (came from China) didn't come with holders, but that is easily overcome by using oversized hose clamps, available in stainless steel.

I've got some little glass jars that had yoghurt in. They make great containers for chopped veg and when the charity shops reopen I'll be hanging around looking for containers like the ones from cruet sets. I have the same problems with overlarge seed dishes.
