Beth sydd yn y bocs? (What's in the box?) Mae bwyd bwji yn y bocs! (Budgie food is in the box!) Ac y ben bwji... (And the budgie head...) Would have tried to get a better photo but didn't want to disturb them. Might try for some more foraging pictures today when we visit my grandparents for Christmas.

Mine do if they’re hungry. They don’t otherwise.

Not particularly, birdguhl. Tipyn back iawn (Very little). It was compulsory up until GCSE, during which I took full course, but then didn't take it for A-level. So I know some very basic bits and bobs, and reasonably good at mutations.

That is so cool! I don’t think since ever even heard Welsh, much less seen it spelled out. We’re so sheltered here in the states... 😒 I do speak Spanish fairly well from living in South America (high school classes were sadly lost on me) and the tiniest bit of Japanese due to an obsession in childhood hahaha - I took a few courses in college and visited Japan over a summer and some of it stuck.

I started teaching myself Japanese too, but it was one of those things I put down because I stopped seeing the point.
I have a level 1 in BSL, which was cool to learn, don't get to use it much though.

@sillycat84 - I took some ASL as well in college, but that didn’t stick as well unfortunately, probably because I don’t actually know anyone who is deaf to practice with... I think the Japanese only stuck because I visited Japan and spoke to a lot of people as often as I could! It was a much more cementing experience. Same with Spanish.

Morgan I bet practising really does help. I occasionally drag out some Welsh with the odd family at work but it's harder for me to put together a response than to understand. I got on well with BSL because it's very visual and made sense to me. Level 2 was 50 weeks of the year and expensive though.

It’s definitely easier to understand a new language at first than to get your brain to formulate your own sentences with proper grammatical structure and then your tongue working to pronounce it all correctly!
