Our relatives found a tailorbird on the road while taking a walk. He's a bit weak, one eye half closed. They just sent it over. Little guy is an adult, pretty tiny though! it's dark now, I'll take a pic next morning. It's this species.

he is very weak, sitting on his water bowl. I don't know if he'll survive the night. Hope he survives and recovers.

Little guy survived the night. He's ok, sitting on the floor, moving his head and occasionally jumping. One eye looks infected though.

Very active now, jumping everywhere, but still can't fly. The cardboard box was too small so I put him in one of my budgies' old cage which wasn't rusty and quite clean. He's an insect eating bird, so I tried to find crickets but none, I only found a spider, but still he ate it. going to get crickets from the pet shop now. The side where his eye is infected, I don't think he can see from that side, probably why he got hit(or attacked, we don't know what happened to him, our relatives just found him on the road lying down).

I wish I had some useful advice to give, but I don’t know what would be safe to use on a bird’s eyes, especially without knowing what is causing the issue. Just keep it warm and in a clean environment with water and food as you have been doing. Is there a wildlife center you could call or bring it to? Or could you ask the vet that you bring your budgies to if he would be able to treat this bird? Or perhaps Hezz might be able to help. Cute little thing. Good luck to both of you!

Trying to find a vet who can look at him. At the usual vet clinic I go to, the only vet that does birds has just left for the day. Just justnow, the poor birdie was lying on the ground beak open, head to the ground. I thought he was about to die. Turned out he was dying of thirst even though there was a water bowl. gave him some water and he's OK.

There were no crickets at the pet store. So I caught him flies and other insects.

@birdlover123 That’s a shame about the crickets. I’m glad you are able to catch insects he will eat! Just keep doing what you can for him until you can get additional help. If he isn’t drinking on his own give him some water twice a day. He’s at least got a better chance of survival with you than laying in the middle of the road I hope he makes it until he can see the vet, and that the vet can help further. Hang in there little guy!

The neighbour who usually takes care of my birdies is on holiday, so I don't know about my budgies too, there are no bird sitters in malaysia

Rather than water, this is a better solution to give a sick or injured bird: Home-made Lactated Ringers electrolyte solution for sick birds (rehydration)
• 8oz warm water • ½ tablespoon sugar • 1/8 teaspoon salt • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
Mix all together in a jar, stir well and refrigerate. Will keep for 2-3 days in fridge.

Also, after we gave him water, we tried to feed him but he refused to eat. He sat on his perch sleeping and was very weak. Made plans to board my budgies and him at the vet. On the way, little guy fell off his perch. I held him in my hands, he was very weak.. I gave him warmth, he went to sleep, very weak, he couldn't stand. When we arrived, we decided not to board him, he was dying in my hands. I gave him all the warmth and comfort at the end of his life. On the way back, he couldn't hold his head up. When he was just about to die, he stretched out his legs, wings and opened his beak repeatedly. I don't know why he died, maybe of starvation but he wouldn't eat when I tried to feed him. RIP little guy!

@birdlover123 - I am sorry he passed. He was clearly ill when he was found and you did the best you could. RIP little birdie.
