Hello. We have two parakeets that I just purchased. They are no more than 10 weeks old. They are extremely social and friendly and had a great weekend of being out of their cage often, talking, flying etc. Today they seem very lethargic and not very vocal. They are eating fine.. do I need to be worried? It’s an extreme change for how vocal and active they were all weekend. Any insight is appreciated. I don’t want these babies to be sick.

Most probably your birdies are sick. You should probably bring them to an avian vet.

If they are eating and drinking fine and just having an off day, I wouldn't worry too much.. Had they been out of cage earlier? If not and this was the first time, it could be possible that they are exhausted from the flying exercise, as it happened with mine. Or an upcoming first moult could be a reason too.
A sick birdie will be puffed up, sleeping on both legs and tail bobbing. Maybe wait up for a day or two and check if they show any illness symptoms.
