I'm looking for something that can replace the millet sprays, due to unavailability at my place. I have the millet seeds though.
Looked up a bit on the internet, but I can't trust those recipes..most of them include all weird ingredients, which I would be skeptical to use (like honey, peanut butter etc). I saw some recipes with flour as the binding agent, followed by baking. However, wouldn't it go bad after a while? Also, do I need to deep freeze them? I had looked up chia seed and flax seed as binding agent too.. Chia seeds swell with water, so I understand how it can act as binding agent. However, would chia seed be safe to consume for budgies, if used there? With seeds as binding agent, do I need to bake it or just let it dry?
Most of the birdie breads use pellets as the base.. I'm thinking more about using flour and vegetables these buds aren't yet used to..
If anyone has any inputs, please let me know 🤗

I think you could probably try mixing up a cracker or biscuit recipe, but without any ingredients that would be bad for them to eat raw, like egg - so a vegan recipe I suppose! Then you could probably mix in a good amount of millet seed until it will hold a form and shape it and let it dry, or bake it at a very low temp perhaps?
