i got my two budgies earlier this week and have noticed one of them has slight tail bobbing. he is eating and flying around just fine, but he will sometimes bob his tail. im worried he might have some sort of issue but he really seems fine so im unsure. if anyone has any advice id really appreciate it.

Hi shoshale, welcome! If it's constant tail bobbing, I'll worry and look at other symptoms like being puffed up, sitting in a corner, eating less, etc. Could you please post a video of your birdie with the above mentioned tail bobbing? On the contrary, sometimes, their tail bobs after an intense exhausting exercise too! My female budgie does the occasional tail bobbing during the moult, when she is feeling a bit under the weather, after intense exercise (shredding or flying) or literally speaking something in a very low almost inaudible voice!

I wouldn’t worry about it. Such a small occasional bob is not significant.
