I found these on the bottom of his cage, if you look closely to the ones on the bottom, they are clearly browned on the edges I hope his new feathers will be healthy and beautiful

I hope so as well. . Those are great photos, lemonora. They can be expanded fully without losing any clarity. I’m surprised that the brown markings doesn’t appear as a straight line across the feather barbs. I’m not sure if the ends look a bit ratty or if that is just the change in colour.

I did wonder whether they might have a stress line through them where the brown colour starts, but there is nothing like that. Hopefully all the stress is over and his new eathers are back to perfection.
If Homer had been a larger parrot, I might have thought that he was being handled a lot. Some parrot’s feathers get what they call bronzing, not unlike Homer’s colouring, from (apparently) the oils in our skin stripping the colour from the birds’ feathers. It often occurs across the back and wing feathers.

That’s new information for me (bronzing) thanks, Homer is a feisty one he doesn’t let us handle him whatsoever 😁 I’m glad that you didn’t find the stress line in his feathers, I sure hope he goes back to normal as well 🙂 Thanks again Hezz ❤️
