Sorry, that is a new one on me. What is a jumbo?

I'm assuming a larger budgie, like an exhibition type... but there's no scale so it's impossible to tell if that budgie is bigger than normal or not.

Wild-type budgies and exhibition budgies can be paired. The off-spring will normally be somewhere in the middle. A hen will only lay an egg of a size that she can pass safely.

Sorry for not realising what you meant by Jumbo! I thought it was another of these strange budgies, like a helicopter budgie or something! Hezz is correct, yes, all sizes of budgie can mate and produce offspring and their chicks will probably be somewhere in the middle of their two sizes.

Marianne Marlow, I made an assumption that that is what was being asked about.

I searched jumbo budgies up, and yes, it meant exhibition budgies.
